Burst Media is in compliance with IAB's Product Guideline standards including: Rich Media Creative Guidelines, Universal Ad Package (UAP), Digital Video Ad Format, (VAST) Digital Video Ad Serving Template, and (VPAID) Video Player-Ad Interface Definitions.

Insertion orders and creative materials should include:

  • Name of advertiser.
  • Creative product (ie. rich media vendor name, targeting etc)
  • IAB creative size.
  • Start and end flight dates.
  • URL to which each creative points.
  • Name and telephone number of the client/agency contact.

All Custom Creative Tags Require 48 Business Hours to Traffic.

Ad Serving

We accept most forms of third-party redirects except DART redirect tags and any third-party redirect tags that do not allow us to append our cache buster and click-tracking URL.

Click Tag Modifications

Burst may need to modify Flash files in order to add click-tracking capabilities. Click tracking is required for CPC campaigns and is strongly recommended for CPM campaigns. All in-page ad units should spawn a new browser window when clicked.

Rich Media Preferred Tracking Method

We strongly recommend advertisers include a tracking pixel to be implemented to count the impression upon the display of the content for Rich Media ads.

Video Preferred Tracking Method

We strongly recommend advertisers include a tracking pixel to be implemented to count the impression upon post-buffer playing of the video.
